Who may apply for this visa?
This visa is aimed at an non-EEA national under the age of 18 who wishes to come to the UK. If you wish to make an application under this category, this must be done from your country of residence. However, if you are a non-visa national, you can apply for leave to enter as a visitor at the UK border.
A Child Standard Visit Visa allows children under 18 to visit the UK for up to six months. The child can travel for tourism, to see family, or to attend short educational programs.
To qualify, the applicant must prove:
They are under 18.
They have suitable accommodation and care during their stay.
Their travel and living costs will be covered by a parent or guardian.
Applicants also need written consent from both parents (or legal guardians) and evidence of relationship such as a birth certificate.
